Nottingham-born mezzo-soprano, Emily Hodkinson, performs Guy Turner’s song cycle The Ways of Love, and a selection of English song, including works by Butterworth, Julius Harrison, Muriel Herbert and Ivor Novello. This programme provides the opportunity to hear some classics, and rarely performed treasures, of the English-song repertoire.
This is a lunchtime recital as part of St Mary Magdalene church’s Music for Market concert series. The concert will last for 45 minutes.
